Although not directly part of our curriculum to have an understanding of what is expected from total relaxation and the benefit gain for training in this way will assist with the Tai Ji journey you have undertaken. Please read below.
The Chinese word for relaxation is Song (pronounced Sung), its meaning is not to eliminate all tension and lay prone on the floor as it does in an English interpretation, it does however demand a release of superfluous tension while mindfully conducting effortless exercises.
We also instruct a method of Active Relaxation which must be experienced to understand the title.
